3. The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI)
Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) was established in 1999 with the charter for policy advocacy in favour of housing and real estate. In this endeavor, CREDAI interacts with Government, academics and media.
CREDAI promotes fair play and transparency in the business of real estate. The members of CREDAI voluntarily adopt a “Code of Conduct” to safeguard the interests of home buyers. Consumer Grievance Redressal Forums have been set up to serve as the first port of call for home buyers to register their complaints and have them resolved efficiently and cost-effectively.
CREDAI is the prime knowledge sharing forum for latest industry data, technological advancements and industry benchmarks. CREDAII has emerged as the preferred platform with regard to national discourse on Housing and Habitat through strong networking with Government, Policy Makers, Investors, Financial Institutions and Real Estate Developers.
This is reflected in its membership base comprising more than 13000+ members today across 21 states and 211 city chapters. The convening power of CREDAI is mobilized to hold conclaves and conferences annually that are attended by 1000 plus decision makers of real estate and that serve as a platform for deliberation of policy. The current dynamic policy scenario is also giving further impetus to this development and providing an exciting opportunity for the entire real estate eco- system.
While CREDAI Youth Wing nurtures the next generation of CREDAI leadership by inculcating a social and ethical commitment, CREDAI Women’s Wing encourages women professionals and entrepreneurs in the real estate sector. CREDAI helps industries associated with real estate to enlarge their presence and visibility through the Preferred Partnership Programme.
CREDAI Maharashtra is a State Level Federation and is the apex body of the organized Real Estate Developers/ Builders across the State of Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai). 62 City Associations are members of CREDAI Maharashtra with over 3000 plus individual member developers, encompassing over 75% of the organized private development in the State.
CREDAI Maharashtra was established in 1994 and is operating for the promotion of Real Estate Sector and for the benefit of its members since over 27 years. CREDAI Maharashtra closely works with Government and Semi-Government agencies and takes initiative in policy formation. The Federation discharges various Corporate Social Responsibilities directly and through its members.
It is one of the founder members of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), which supports formulation of proactive policies for the construction sector at the National level.
CREDAI Maharashtra has 17 expert committees in the area of Legal, IGR, RERA, Youth Wing, Women’s Wing, Member coordination, Taxation, Study Tour, Website, Affordable Housing, Construction Cost, Constitution, Skill Development, Exhibition and MSEDCL etc.
CREDAI has worked to make the construction industry more organized and progressive by networking closely with government representatives, policy makers, investors, finance companies, consumers and real estate professionals. Acting as the voice of India’s Real Estate Industry, CREDAI has been the guiding force for the growing Real Estate Sector in India and for bringing more transparency in the industry. CREDAI Maharashtra is a pillar of strength for the national body.
