UDYAM AADHAAR
Udyam Aadhaar (now known as Udyam Registration) is a government-issued unique identification number provided to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India.
It was earlier called Udyog Aadhaar, and now it's part of the Udyam Registration system under the Ministry of MSME.
1. Purpose of Udyam Aadhaar/Udyam Registration :
It helps small businesses to:
1. Register as an MSME (Micro, Small or Medium Enterprise).
2. Get official recognition by the Government of India.
3. Access various benefits and schemes under the MSME Development Act, 2006.
2. Documents Needed :
1. Aadhaar Number of the proprietor/partner/director.
2. PAN Card of the enterprise.
3. Business details – name, type, address, activity, bank details, etc.
3. Benefits of Udyam Aadhaar :
1. Subsidies on loans (including interest subsidies under CGTMSE, Mudra Yojana, etc.)
2. Priority in government tenders.
3. Easier access to credit from banks.
4. Exemption from some licenses and inspections.

1. You can register online at the official portal: https://udyamregistration.gov.in
2. It’s free of cost, and no documentation is physically required. It uses Aadhaar-based OTP verification.

Step 1:
Visit the Website Go to the official portal:
Click on "For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME"
You'll see this option on the homepage. Click on it to begin the registration process.
Step 3:
Enter Aadhaar Number & Name
Enter the Aadhaar number of the business owner (proprietor/partner/director).
Enter the name exactly as per Aadhaar card.
Click on "Validate & Generate OTP".
You'll receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Step 4:
Enter PAN Details
If you have a PAN card, enter the PAN number and validate.
If you're a company/LLP, PAN is mandatory.
Step 5:
Fill in Business Details
Enter the following:
Name of enterprise/business
Type of organization (Proprietorship, Partnership, Pvt Ltd, etc.)
Location of plant/office
Official address
Bank account details
NIC Code (National Industry Classification Code – related to your business activity)
Number of employees
Investment in plant/machinery
Annual turnover
Step 6:
Submit and Final OTP Verification
Accept the declaration at the end.
Click "Submit and Get Final OTP".
Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Submit the form.
After Submission
You'll receive a confirmation with your Udyam Registration Number (URN).
You’ll get the Udyam Registration Certificate by email within 1–2 working days (PDF format).
You can print or download it anytime from the portal.
7. Who Should Register?
Any business that:
Is in manufacturing or service sector.
Wants to avail MSME benefits (like loans, subsidies, tenders).
Has turnover and investment within the MSME limit:
